History

The Arresting Souls Motorcycle Club was founded on March 1st 2009.

After thirteen years in another L.E.M.C., we decided to do something new.  As a result, here we are,
building a new foundation of excellence and professionalism,  building a brotherhood of Law Enforcement
Officers that is second to none.

The name and design were then decided.  A detailed drawing of the center patch was completed and I had
my tattoo artist refine the drawing. He then scanned it into a jpeg and we were off.

On April 10th  2009 a Trademark application was filed with the United States Patent and Trademark
Office in Washington, D.C. for both our Name and Center Patch design. On March 9th 2010, the
Arresting Souls name and center patch became a registered collective mark with the U.S.P.T.O.

I would like to thank Lou Jacque  for his time and getting it done.

Approximately one  year later, in 2010 we received an application from William Carr who lived in the
Greater Boston area, he asked to become a member of our Connecticut Chapter. The club then discussed
and voted on the decision to expand in to Massachusetts but only after we had organized our own
Chapter. We then contacted Billy Carr and advised him that he could not join our Chapter but we would
entertain starting a Chapter in his area should he be willing to wait. Bill then made his intentions known
to area Officers at which time they began showing interest by pursuing him for more information. On
March 26, 2011 the Arresting Souls Motorcycle Club, Boston Chapter became a reality.

Position: William Carr, President

A few months later, we were contacted by a Springfield Police Officer by the name of Bob Williams who
inquired about another Massachusetts Chapter.  While at an event for our new Boston Chapter we met
with Bob (Country) and Brian (Beans) to discuss another chapter. As the two of them walked with a cooler
full of beer toward the group of ASMC members in front of our hotel, we looked and said "This must be
them" You just knew these guys were cops cops . Needless to say, on October 8, 2011, the Arresting
Souls, Western Massachusetts Chapter was up and running.

Position: Robert Williams, President

It was approximately the month of June 2012 when we received an email from a Gentleman (and I use
that term lightly) by the name of Angel Ortiz, a retired Police Officer out of the Bronx, New York. He
emailed us looking for information on how to start a chapter. After finally connecting with Angel, we made
arrangements to meet here in Connecticut. Angel  arrived with Ricky at which time we all got to know
each other.  After speaking with Angel and watching the numerous trips to Connecticut he made to get his
Chapter up and running, I can only hope his chapter members will show the same determination as he.
On December 8, 2012, the Bronx, New York Chapter of the ASMC were sporting their cuts.

Position: Angel Ortiz, President

And then, here we grow again, I was contacted by Jersey City Police Officer Ed Ortiz. Ed took the ride up
from Jersey to sit and have lunch with a crew of ASMC members from Connecticut and New York. Ed was
a quiet guy, didn't say much at first, just seemed to be taking it all in. Over the next couple of months all
the behind the scenes activities were taking place to get everything in place for our New, New Jersey
Chapter. On October 5, 2013, the Jersey City, New Jersey Chapter of the ASMC were patched in. All
ASMC Chapters then headed over to our friends (The Fat Bastards) party in Prospect where we enjoyed
good times and great food.

Position: Edwin Ortiz, President
